We are a friendly, welcoming choir, based in North Bristol, of about 25 singers.  We range in age from young to (relatively) older, and we are always keen to add to our ranks with any new singers of any voice.

So, if you do come to us what can you expect?  With our welcoming and warm attitude, you will very soon feel valued, and a friend to many members. Our fine musical director, Andrew Kirk, brings out the very best in the choir through a combination of encouragement and musical discipline.

You can expect to sing a wide-ranging repertoire including both classical works and more modern pieces. 

We do not audition (so you don’t have to jump that particular fence) and we don’t expect you to be a brilliant sight-reader either.  However, an ability to read music at a basic level would be an advantage.

On Palm Sunday, 13 April 2025 6.30-7.30pm, Henbury Singers will be combining forces with Westbury Singers and the parish choir, at Holy Trinity Church, Westbury on Trym to perform Handel’s Passion of Christ (Brockes Passion), sung in English. Free admission with retiring collection. Please join us to hear this rarely performed beautiful work.

On 30th November we sang an Advent Carol Service at St John the Evangelist Church, Clevedon. The photo shows the choir at the West End of the church at the end of our rehearsal. The acoustics in the church are great for choral singing. Thanks you to members of the church and the clergy for making us feel so welcome.
